Gurinder Singh, PhD, is Group Vice Chancellor of Amity Universities, Uttar Pradesh, India, as well as Director General of Amity International Business School. Professor Singh has experience of more than 21 years (since 1998) in institutional building, teaching, consultancy, research, and industry. He is a renowned scholar and academician in international business, he holds a prestigious doctorate in the area along with a postgraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, where he illustriously topped with seven merits. He holds the distinction of being the youngest Founder Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Amity University for two terms and the Founder Director General of Amity International Business School and the Founder CEO of the Association of International Business Schools, London. He has been instrumental in establishing various Amity campuses abroad, including in London, the USA, Singapore, Mauritius, and other parts of the world. Dr Ajay Sahai is the Director General & CEO of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), jointly set up by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and private trade and industry in the year 1965, for promoting India’s exports.
Dr Sahai was earlier Joint DGFT in the Policy Division of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade where he played key role in the formulation of the Foreign Trade Policy from 1996 to 2003. He was member of the high level task force of Government of India on Exim Policy. Besides having expertise in Foreign Trade Policy, Dr Sahai brings to his position considerable experience in the area of Customs and Excise.
He was a key member of Government of India delegation to Australia, Singapore, Philippines, Denmark, Turkey and Europe on Export Facilitation which led to streamlining of exports documents & recommended EDI connectivity within a specified time frame to reduce transaction cost and time.
He is a member of High Powered Committee on Export Promotion Schemes constituted by the Department of Commerce and various other trade promotion bodies. He has also been conferred with the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award for Best Achiever in Export Promotion. He is expert on GST and helping the Government to streamline the same so as to make it exporters’ friendly. He has received appreciation from the World Bank for his contribution to Ease of Doing Business Report for 2016, 2017 and 2018
Richard is presently a Board Member of KPMG Lower Gulf (Dubai). He is the former CEO of KPMG India and was a member of the Global Board and the Council of KPMG International.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 38 years’ experience in Consulting and Professional Services with multi layered, multi sectoral, top-of-the-pyramid experience behind him. He has served clients across sectors including advertising, oil and gas, industrial and consumer markets and specifically in the pharmaceuticals, technology, manufacturing and retail domains.He is a member of various Industry bodies, leading Educational Institution and is actively involved with the Start-up community as an investor and a mentor.
Dr. P. Sekhar is the Chairman of Global Smart Cities Panel and also chairman of Micro Tech Global Foundation. Dr. Sekhar is a visionary with over two decade of experience in the area of emerging technologies. He has spent over four decades in various R&D activities. He is known in the Indian IT industry as one of the visionary who laid the foundation of first software Technology Park in India. Dr. Sekhar owns a range of intellectual property rights and is leading campaigner to focus on access to technology as the key to social change.He is also assisting various industries to efficiently use latest innovative technologies along with various funding support so as to immensely contribute to the new Smart Cities initiatives. He has been the advisor to IACC (Indo American Chamber of Co merce) and IACCI (Indo – African Chamber of Commerce & Industry).
Guru is a Chartered Accountant by background and has a career spanning key corporate assignments across the Globe, he is also FINRA registered in US Capital markets (NYSE/NASDAQ).
Corporate Leader and partner with experience in transforming organizations with innovative growth strategies to enter new markets, enhance shareholder value, and implement stronger revenue models. Creating Value by leveraging strengths in; fund raising, cross-cultural collaboration, teambuilding, and program/project management, in order to establish successful international organizations. Accomplished in forming investment banking advisory and technology ventures to position small and Midcap companies for exponential growth through IPOs/reverse mergers with listed companies and through private funding. Guru is also currently a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones focused on Wealth Management.
Guru held leadership positions with Big 4 Consulting firms and has also held C level positions in the corporate world before transitioning to an entrepreneurial role, He has advised more than 200 out of Fortune 500 companies on Business Strategy and Shareholder Value. Guru has also been helping several companies from Asia and other regions to leverage Capital Markets in the States.
