Future Studies for Sustainability: a new approach to management education

This Teaching Cafe will introduce and combine future studies methodology with sustainable management elements in higher education. By going beyond the introduction of the core elements of future studies and the criticism of the current status quo of various business sectors towards sustainable development, participants can experience selected exercises to get a glimpse of the (inter)active and experiential learning nature of this topic. Also, this session will open the discussion about how to incorporate those exercises through IB topics such as sustainability, maritime supply chains, and international procurement, among others, as well as will share resources for participants to apply them into their courses.
