The AIB T&E Sig will be running two Teaching Cafés at the AIB UK&I Chapter conference in Glasgow on the 14th and the 15th of April 2023.
Teaching Café 1: Promoting D&I in teaching curriculum (14th April 2023)
The Teaching Café will look at how to address different perspectives of D&I in Higher Education. We will be discussing gender inequality and some initiatives to diminish the under-representation of women in leadership positions. Furthermore, we will be covering institutional practices to engage faculty in D&I, challenges, and opportunities to include D&I across the curriculum. Also, how using Team-based Learning in an IB course can foster D&I practices in classroom. We are interested in sharing our experiences and hearing about ongoing initiatives.

Teaching Café 2: Promoting sustainability in IB and IE teaching (15th April 2023)
The Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8 aims to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all. The twelve associated targets call for action in a number of interconnected domains that are of great relevance for global governance, international business, and international entrepreneurship. In this Teaching Café we will discuss how related topics can be highlighted in our international business and international entrepreneurship teaching and what adjustments we, as educators, need to make to the curriculum and our teaching practices to further this agenda.
